The Nevada Camera Club is happy to welcome Arica Dorff for a program on pet photography. Dorff is the proud owner and photographer of Pet'ographique, which specializes in capturing irreplaceable moments in your pet's life and sealing those moments into priceless portraits that you can treasure long after your pet leaves your side. Dorff moved to Las Vegas 14 years ago from Mililani, Hawaii to play softball at UNLV. She graduated from UNLV in 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She currently lives in Henderson with her husband, John, their Bloodhound, Gracie, and their studio mascot, Harley the Guinea Pig.

Pet'ographique was created in 2006 for the simple reason that it combines Dorff's 2 loves, animals and photography. She loves making pet owners smile and cry everyday by capturing their pet’s personality on film. Animal Rescue is a cause very close to her heart. She adopted her now passed Weimaraners, Duke & Drake, from the Las Vegas Weimaraner Rescue which opened her eyes to the great service that so many volunteers provide by rehabilitating and adopting out abandoned animals in our community. Arica currently does her part by doing complimentary adoption portraits for rescues and shelters around the valley . Sometimes when people think of Pet Photography, they think “How fun!” or “How cute!”. In the 8 years that Pet'ographique has been open, she has had the honor of capturing countless last portraits of pets, and usually the only professional portrait they had in their lifetime. Our best friends will always have a place in our hearts, but what a gift for their smiles to always have a place on our wall for not just us, but for everyone to remember.
