Sunday, June 26th, we will be going to Floyd Lamb State Park. We will meet at the VFW Post (4337 N. Las Vegas Blvd) for breakfast at 9 am. You do not have to be a
VFW member to enjoy the breakfast, but it will require a $6.00 donation. After breakfast (approximately 10:00) we will leave and head over to Floyd Lamb State Park. We should arrive at the park around 10:45. There is a $6.00 per vehicle fee to enter the park, so carpooling is advised.

Things to bring: water, sunscreen, telephoto lens, tripod, extra battery, extra memory cards. Wear comfortable shoes as we will be doing quite a bit of walking. There should be a lot of wildlife, but it is hard to get up close. That’s where your telephoto lens comes in handy. There are four ponds and scenic paths to explore. You can find peacocks, ducks, and many other birds.

Floyd Lamb Park is located at 9200 Tule Springs Rd. If you travel North on Rancho, you will turn right on Durango Dr. Then just follow the signs. Or you can plug the
address into your gps and let that direct you.
Please email me at rfh951@hotmail.com or text 702-283-6212 and let me know if you are planning to join us on this fieldtrip. That way I will be able to send updates.
