01/19/2026 - 6:00am to 10:00am Every year on Martin Luther King holiday, which this year is Monday, January 19th, Allan Duff does a trip up to Upper Pahranagat Lake. Many years he has been able to photograph bald eagles, but there are also blue herons, osprey, hawks and swans. It also provides some nice reflections and landscapes. After Pahranagat, some may want to go up to Caliente to the newly refurbished train station. All members are welcome to join in. The best time to arrive is very early in the morning for the best chance of seeing birds. Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge is about 100 miles north of Las Vegas on Hwy. 93. For more info call Ed Stiglitz or Allan Duff (702-682-9688). 01/19/2026 - 11:30pm to 11:45pm Deadline to enter and pay for the Monthly Electronic Image Competition. |
