<p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">Workshop: How to Photograph Spring Flowers</font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">Rick Holmes, DNCC</font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">We are quickly approaching spring bloom time in the desert. We may be blessed with lots of wildflowers to photograph this year.</font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">Have the competition judges ever said that you are using the wrong time of day or that you need to diffuse and bounce to get better flower photos when shooting in direct sunlight? I&#39;ll show you how to impress these judges. With a couple of basic tools you can control and enhance the lighting of your flowers.</font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">At noon on Saturday, March 4, 2017 I will present a one-to-two hour free workshop on how to get the most out of the spring flowers. The workshop will be held at my house, 2000 Pinto Rd, Henderson, NV 89002. 702.458.4933. Major cross streets are Wagon Wheel and Boulder Hwy in southeast Henderson. </font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">You should bring your camera. If you have a tripod, bring it. If you have a remote way to trigger your camera&#39;s shutter, bring it. Of course, bring an empty memory card and a full battery for your camera.</font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">I will first discuss and demonstrate the technique used. Then attendees will practice the technique. A handout will be provided that will list the few supplemental items you will want to acquire to help get great wildflower pictures.</font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">The workshop will be held in clear or inclement weather. </font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif">Please send an email to rickholmes@acm.org if you will attend.
