Sunrise Hospital Auditorium

http://www.Altenburgstudio.com

Our program meeting this month will focus on “Flattering your subject….a guide to improving your portraiture”, presented by Sue Altenburg. Her goal is to share with us how to help the subject look their best, the job of a portrait photographer. Knowing the classic rules of portraiture and paying attention to details before pressing the shutter can improve one’s images and save hours on the computer. This program will start with basics of posing the face and body, placement of hands and feet and share other techniques to flatter your subject. Sue hopes to break the “I’ll fix in Photoshop later” mantra and get us to slow down and really see what we can fix in camera.

Sue is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography. She is a PPA Master Photographer, Photographic
Craftsman and a Certified Professional Photographer and is the owner of Altenburg Studio in Las Vegas since 1983 specializing in portraiture. She is an International speaker and photographic judge having toured Japan, England, Ireland and Scotland. Sue is also an instructor of photography for the Smithsonian in Washington DC.
