Make plans now to attend our program meeting on May 12 to hear from John Kompare. In this presentation we will learn some of the basics of drones and flying/photography.
We will go over different types of drones, and their uses. For example, smaller drones are appropriate if you don’t want to back up additional equipment, but they have their downfalls. We will look at the different options for photography/video, and what are the pros and cons of these. We will also look at some basic regulatory information. And we will look at some drone photography and video, also going over the drone photo/video software system (on drone software).
John has been photographing since high school in the early 1980’s, working in the dark room having fun dodging and burning photos for years. In college, he went to the University of Arizona and received a bachelors of science in systems engineering. To balance out all the engineering classes, he also took a number of fine art photography classes at the University of Arizona; where he continued his love of photography and learning new skills and techniques. The photography world has changed over the years. John has also changed, moving from film to digital; from the darkroom to Lightroom and Photoshop. John has worked and continues to work at getting better in these areas. Over the last few years, John has started to work in the world of Drone photography and video. Drone work adds new tools and prospective to all photographers works. It also adds new challenges to your work.
