Nevada Camera Club administers photography field trips to provide members with practical photographic experience as a supplement to the club's ongoing lectures, programs and workshops. The assigned trip leaders are knowledgable and informative about the locations and the photographic disciplines required to capture the best images. Member sharing of accumulated knowledge is a key to the success of each outing. The field trips are usually one day outings but trips to remote locations, such as State and National Parks, could span two to three days. The overnight trips usually take place on a three day holiday weekend.
The following field trips are scheduled in 2010:
- Photo Scavenger Hunt
- Lensbaby® Free Loan Day
- Death Valley National Park
- Mojave National Preserve
- Page, AZ - Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend
- Great Basin National Park
- Toroweap - Grand Canyon National Park
- Fall Colors - Southern Utah
- Christmas Lights
Field trip locations may be postponed or changed to alternative sites pending access issues or other potential complications.
NCC members carrying an FRS radio may tune to channel 2.8 to communicate advisories and alerts or to locate other members.
Nevada Camera Club field trip participation is restricted to NCC members and their invited guests. Scheduled field trip dates are listed in the NCC Annual Calendar which is located in the Nevada Camera Club web site Members Only section. Information about becoming an NCC member is available on the Nevada Camera Club web site Join NCC page.
